From below grade to the cooling loop
The infrastructure
underneath.
The expertise inside.
Our work begins well before a cooling loop is ready to commission. We bring licensed engineering and hands-on construction to the full water system.
Underground utility piping installation.
Start below the surface.
Site work, underground piping and campus utilities establish the foundation for the systems above.
Fabricated piping prepared for transport from North Sioux City to Texas.
Carry it through to commissioning.
Engineering and field teams work together on cooling-system installation, readiness and turnover.
Ready for the
Next Load.
Cooling-loop cleanliness is established before turnover—not after startup. Foreign material, oils and construction debris can compromise equipment and fluid quality once the circuit enters operation.
RP Constructors treats pre-commissioning as a critical project scope, with an engineered sequence and documented evidence at turnover. The deliverable: a cleaned, tested and documented cooling circuit prepared for the project’s acceptance process.
Pre-commissioning services
RP Constructors provides cleaning, flushing, passivation, rinsing and charging for Technology Cooling System (TCS) loops ahead of energization.
Protocols are coordinated with the approved project submittals, applicable OCP criteria, equipment requirements and the engineer of record.

Verify before turnover
Five stages. A documented path to acceptance.
Select a stage to see the work and its record.
Start with a clean system.
Remove oils, construction residue and installation debris using an approved cleaning chemistry and sequence. Establish the circuit boundaries before work begins.
The acceptance record
Circuit identification, chemical concentration, contact time and the approved cleaning procedure.
Prove the flow reaches the circuit.
Sequence flushing in defined subgroups to remove debris from manifolds, branches and terminal connections. Verify flow and velocity against the approved hydraulic requirements.
The acceptance record
Valve lineups, flow and velocity verification, filtration performance and specified particle or turbidity results.
Prepare the stainless surfaces.
Apply the approved passivation protocol, controlling chemistry, exposure and temperature. Coordinate the verification method and chemical recovery before the sequence begins.
The acceptance record
Chemical concentration, contact time, temperature and passivation verification required by the project protocol.
Verify what remains in the loop.
Rinse to the approved water-quality limits, with defined sampling points and a clear acceptance method before charging the circuit.
The acceptance record
Conductivity, pH and applicable iron, microbial and other project-specified water-quality results.
Protect the accepted condition.
Charge with the specified treated fluid or glycol within the approved window. Coordinate the layup plan with equipment availability and the energization schedule.
The acceptance record
Fluid identification, concentration and quality, circuit completion, layup disposition, and turnover documentation.
Readiness is more than a final sample.
Hydraulic verification. Chemistry records. Valve lineups. Quality testing. Layup planning. A traceable package for the owner’s acceptance process.
Develop the source.
Deliver the system.
Source. Treatment. Conveyance. Storage.
Wastewater disposal. Design and construction.
We can handle source water development, the treatment needed for its intended use, conveyance to and across the campus, and storage for operating needs and resilience. We also design and construct any necessary wastewater collection, treatment and disposal infrastructure. Our team connects those decisions to cooling demand, reuse opportunities and the community water supply.
Source water development & treatment
Develop the supply strategy and design and construct treatment systems suited to source quality and campus requirements.
Conveyance & storage
Design and construct water mains, pump and booster stations, distribution infrastructure and storage to support demand and resilience.
Wastewater treatment & disposal
Address necessary collection, lift stations, force mains, treatment and disposal infrastructure, with reuse evaluated where feasible.
Campus development & the community water case
Connect site work, utilities and cooling strategy to source capacity, water demand and permitting support—with licensed engineering and self-perform construction.
Campus water use and disposal requirements depend on the complete cooling strategy, source quality, local conditions and operating requirements.
BUILT FOR THE PROJECT TEAM
One system.
Different priorities.
Data center infrastructure brings owners, contractors and communities into the same conversation. RP + CEC support each group with engineering, construction and water-system expertise connected across the project.
01 / OWNERS + DEVELOPERS
Plan for delivery.
Connect water strategy, site utilities, cooling infrastructure and construction planning early—supporting schedule, cost visibility and coordinated campus development.
02 / PRIME CONTRACTORS
Plug in technical scope.
Bring RP + CEC into defined civil, piping, utility, technology-water and pre-commissioning scopes that integrate with the larger construction program.
03 / COMMUNITIES
Understand the water case.
Evaluate source capacity, treatment, reuse opportunities, infrastructure needs and wastewater requirements so proposed campus demand can be understood in the context of existing systems.
FOR COMMUNITIES & PROJECT OWNERS
Plan for the campus.
Account for the community.
A data center’s water needs extend beyond its cooling loop. RP + CEC bring engineering and construction together to evaluate water supply, treatment, storage, reuse opportunities and wastewater requirements—helping project teams understand how a proposed campus fits the community’s water infrastructure.
Water conservation
Evaluate cooling and reuse strategies that can reduce demand for fresh water, based on site conditions and operating requirements.
Infrastructure planning
Assess source capacity, treatment needs and utility improvements alongside existing community demands.
Clear information for decisions
Support project discussions and permitting with engineering assessments that explain anticipated water needs and infrastructure requirements.
04 / FIELD EXPERIENCE
