Ryan P. Callaghan PE, CEO/President
Ryan is the founder and CEO of RP and CEC has over 30 years of experience in engineering and construction. Before RP, Ryan worked at Cowen Construction in Tusla, Oklahoma, Concrete Specialty in South Sioux City, NE, the Iowa DOT, JEO, and Howard R. Green. Ryan is an active volunteer for professional licensure and is a Governor-appointed Board Member for the South Dakota Board of Technical Professions and an elected officer with NCEES—an international organization that develops exams for engineers/surveyors as well as the Model Law engineer/surveyor. Ryan enjoys playing guitar, loves to chase new work ventures, and reads a lot!
Sheri Young, Chief Administrative Officer
Sheri has 36 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors since its inception. Before RP, Sheri worked for The City of Sioux City in Public Works Administration and in the City of Sioux City Clerks office. Sheri once met Rod Stewart on an escalator in Las Vegas!
Pat Callaghan, VP - Estimating
Pat stopped counting at 55 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for 6 years. Before RP, Pat worked for the City of Sioux City and CSI. Pat likes to go on walks and drink beer.
Josh Reis PE, VP - Engineering
Josh has 14-years of construction and engineering experience and has been with RP Constructors for 7-years. Before RP, Josh worked at the Iowa DOT, Foth Infrastructure, Nelson Engineering, and Gelita. Josh enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors.
Travis Thom, VP - Operations
Travis has 31 years of experience in construction and over 20 years of management experience. He started as a consultant for RP in 2015 and came on board full-time in 2017. Before RP Travis worked for a metropolitan city until retiring in April of 2019 after 20 years of service. He worked his way through the ranks as a firefighter, Fire Apparatus Operator, Fire Training Officer, and Special Operation Captain. His last 7 years he was an Operations Battalion Chief with the Fire Department which included oversite of all facility capital projects. He was also assigned as the Operations Section Chief for the State Incident Management Assistance Team. Throughout his civil service career, Travis was deployed on multiple time long-term natural disasters that included flooding, structural collapse, trench rescues, and high angle rescues. He has been involved as a home builder since 1994. When Travis is not working he enjoys weight lifting and reading about investments.
Tanner Lambert, Project Engineer
Tanner has 4 years of experience in pumping applications and 2 years’ experience designing and managing industrial wastewater projects. He worked as an Application Engineer at Grundfos Pumps for 2 years before joining RP in August of 2020. While with Grundfos he familiarized himself with numerous pumping applications including wastewater, dosing, and commercial pressure boosting. With his free time Tanner enjoys hanging out at the pool in the summer and playing video games. He also enjoys participating in mud runs across the United States.
Jason Bligh, Project Manager
Superintendent - Underground/Pipe Crew
Jason has 29 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for 8 years. Before RP, Jason did underground utility work for Concrete Specialty for 21 years. Jason is a Packers fan and loves spending time with his grandkids.
Ethan Lewis, Project Manager
Superintendent - Industrial Crew
Ethan has 13 years of experience and joined RP Constructors two and half years ago. He was a Superintendent before coming to RP for 5 years. Ethan is a motorsports enthusiast.
Shannan Bainbridge, Project Manager
Superintendent - Paving Crew
Shannan has about 30 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for 8 years. Before RP, Shannan worked at Concrete Specialty for 22 years. Shannan enjoys Hawkeye football, golfing, and camping.
Ron Carter, General Superintendent
Ron has over 50 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for seven and half years. He was an Equipment Operator/Foreman at Concrete Specialty for 30 years and an Equipment Operator/Foreman at Sioux City Engineer for 15 years before joining RP. When Ron is not at work he enjoys yard work and gardening.
Nick Aspeotis, Foreman - Underground
Nick has over 12 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for 7 years. Previously Nick worked on underground utilities and roadwork for Knife River Midwest for 1 year and D.A. Davis Inc. for 4 years. His favorite band is the Eagles and his favorite team is ISU.
Mike Bryan Jr., Foreman - Underground
Mike has over 20 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for 7 1/2 years. He was previously with Concrete Speciality in construction for 15 years. Mike’s favorite team is the 49ers.
Bruce Bryan, Foreman - Underground
Bruce has about 10 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for 6 1/2 years. Before joining RP, Bruce was a laborer and ran equipment for 2 years at Headwaters Power Plant. Bruce is a Vikings football fan.
Salvador Palmillas, Foreman - Paving
Salvador has over 15 years of experience in paving and has been with RP Constructors for 7 1/2 years. Before RP, Salvador worked as an Operator and Laborer for Concrete Specialties. In his free time, he makes his own leather belts and wallets.
Derek Maas, Field Support Manager
Derek has about 10 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for 5 1/2 years. Before RP Derek dug drainage ditches, crushed concrete and road gravel for four years. He has 3 kids and is a Green Bay Packers fan.
Ryan Beach, Foreman - Underground
Ryan has over 15 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for 5 years. Previously he worked for 10 years in construction. Ryan is a family man that loves hunting and fishing with his two teenage boys and watching them play baseball. Ryan recently married the love of his life.
Cory Lamprecht, Field Engineer
Corey has over 15 years of experience and has been with RP Constructors for 4 1/2 years. He was previously at Western Contracting for 12 years performing various tasks such as working on the Missouri River involving the Corp of Engineers. When Corey is not at work, he likes to go out to eat with his daughter Taylor, he plays golf and likes to watch the Huskers Football Games.
