Who We Help

RP Constructors is a full-service engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, when you include our wholly-owned subsidiary, Civil Engineers & Constructors.

We provide high-quality construction with an impeccable safety record – all while completing your project on time and within budget.

We work in various market sectors and have experience with municipal/governmental, industrial, and private/commercial entities.

No matter what you do, we can help you do it better.

Municipal / Governmental

When a municipality or government entity puts out a public bid, they look for the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Since these bids are public, governmental entities must ensure those tax dollars are used wisely. Here at RP Constructors, we have the best construction experience to demonstrate what that means and submit a complete proposal. These clients require solid financial strength and an excellent safety record—both of which we have.

“Quality, to us, means that it looks nice, it is structurally sound, and above all, it works!”
– Ryan Callaghan, CEO

Some municipal and governmental projects we’ve worked on:

● Military Road ($6.5M+) - Full reconstruction of all underground paving and utilities from Riverside Blvd to South Dakota.

● I-29 reconstruction (Over $10M+) – We’ve been involved since Day 1 on the project and have participated in multiple phases, scopes, and contracts.

● Sioux Gateway Airport ($3M+) - Including runways, aprons, and taxiways.

● More aviation/FAA airport work ($1M+) - Including Wayne, Nebraska, and Le Mars, Iowa.

● Myrtle Street ($7M+) - A residential neighborhood where we installed new underground utilities including sanitary, water, and storm, as well as subgrade, paving, seeding, new sidewalks, and new driveways

● Other DOT work such as underground utilities along Highway 75 between Sioux City and Hinton, Army Corps of Engineers, and large and small municipalities such as Dakota Dunes, South Sioux City, Sioux City, Le Mars, and Moville, to name a few.

At RP Constructors, we design it to be built, and build it to work.

Industrial

Unfortunately, it is prevalent for industrial construction companies to low-ball a bid, get awarded the project, and then change the order up for all of the things they did not plan for but could have reasonably foreseen. Those surprises are unfair to the Owner, and we don’t play that game.

Instead, we believe a small allowance for engineering can often leverage multiples of the investment in construction dollars related to it. In other words, a little bit of engineering helps to develop a reasonable budget, which saves you money on construction costs. Think about it this way, by spending a small amount on building a workable plan; you don’t spend as much money on fixing mistakes and last-minute additions during the construction process. That is why it is not always smart to go with the bottom-dollar proposal, but rather the more compelling and well thought out plan.

Here’s a few of the industrial construction projects we’ve worked on:

● Dakota Dunes CID

● Prestage Foods - Eagle Grove, Iowa

● WholeStone Farms - Fremont, Nebraska

● Myrtle Street Reconstruction - Sioux City, Iowa

● Large Food Processing Plant, Iowa

● Gelita - Sergeant Bluff, Iowa

● Lazy H Campground - Akron, Iowa

Private / Commercial

RP Constructors really shines because we can complete surveying, engineering, and construction all in-house. There are a lot of balls getting thrown in the air, and we make sure nothing drops and hits the ground. Our ability to expertly self-perform all aspects of a project is different from other companies because they aren’t used to talking among different teams. Our surveyors know what the engineers need, and the engineers know what the constructors need.

That takes a lot of trust. We get it, and we’re willing to stand behind our work to prove that to you. If we build something and we believe it was not our best work, we will fix it, and we will not send you a bill. It is the right thing to do.

Some of the private/commercial projects we’ve worked on:

●      Lazy H - Akron, Iowa

●      W Okoboji Harbor Association - Spirit Lake, Iowa

●      Interbake Foods - North Sioux City, South Dakota

●      Several confidential food/processing companies in the Sioux City metro area
