WholeStone Farms
RP Constructors accelerates schedule and reduces costs by $10 million for wastewater upgrades at WholeStone farms.
RP Constructors delivered the project with a strong emphasis on cost control, scheduling, and quality assurance. We added significant value by solving WholeStone Farm’s complex wastewater issues and accelerated the client's schedule by over a year, all within budget. When the two-phase project is complete, the facility will have a new cafeteria, a modern locker room, and a state-of-the-art processing floor.
What We Did
WholeStone Farms, a farmer-owned hog processing facility in Fremont, NE, purchased an existing pork processing plant in 2018, intending to invest $150 million to upgrade the plant to compete with modern plant construction. RP Constructors and CEC were engaged to design and build the upgrades to the wastewater pre-treatment facility. The work included design-build services for the wastewater treatment, sanitary sewer, dewatering system, lift station, and pump installation. Our advantage of self-performing the work, allowed us to build it faster and for less than other third-party engineers had estimated. Drawing on our engineering and construction teams' strengths, we were able to offer effective cost control, quality, and a compressed timeline. Our expertise and partnership reduced one project’s cost by in excess of $10 million.
